Everyone connected to UWE Bristol Photography was saddened to hear of the passing of Martin Parr on Saturday. Martin was a regular guest speaker on the programme and through the Foundation was a great supporter of students and alumni of both the BA and MA Photography courses.
Martin was a strong voice in the championing of photography at a national and international level, and his decision to home the Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol gave the city and region a great focus for those who were as passionate about the discipline as he was.
We pass on our sincere condolences to Susie and the family and to everyone at the Foundation.
